Hardcore music
I was talking to one of my friends today, well actually the last few days about the state of hardcore music today. To tell you the truth, it flat out sucks. How I see it, it just another fashion show (trends) and lame ass shit talking on a message board (drama central). It should be about the heart and pride of the music and supporting bands and friends. When I started listening to hardcore music for the last 6 years, I went out to shows to hear good bands and meet new people. I was never that person to give into the latest fashions and drama news. Leader (not a follower). I get aggravated EVERY SINGLE DAY on what has happened to something people worked so hard to build is now being destroyed by audiences who destroy the meaning of the genre. Watered down music; lame fashions; shit talking on myspace; and bands who care about money and end up selling out. Today, despite all the CRAP!!!!!, so many festivals have grown out of this mess and really define the true meaning of Hardcore music. This is Hardcore Fest & Brotherhood Fest are the best examples out there that I hope shines inspiration on the young generation and understand what goes into the music: heart and pride.

People (myself included) have been concerned about hardcore's current state since probably a day after it started. Its kind of pointless and irrelevant as hardcore is ALWAYS going to have more problems than positive aspects. Shit is just inherently fucked ... take the good aspects from it and move onto bigger and better things.
